About Fellowship for Change

The Fellowship for Change (FFC) is a year-long immersive program designed for emerging changemakers ready to develop real-world solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges. Hosted at Columbia Global Centers, this competitive fellowship brings together a select cohort of 18 Fellows chosen through a rigorous application and interview process to embark on a transformative journey of learning, collaboration, and impact.

Building the Next Generation of Social Innovators: How Fellowship for Change Works

Fellowship for Change is centered around three intensive Learning Summits that serve as anchor points throughout the year-long program. Fellows engage with leading Columbia University professors through guest lectures, learn from experienced social innovators, and participate in Reading Seminars that challenge and expand their perspectives. Working alongside experienced mentors, Fellows design and initiate their own community-based projects, continuously refining them through consultation, action, and reflection.

Beyond the classroom, FFC emphasizes community building through team-building activities, arts workshops, sports sessions, and CommUNITY evenings—creating lasting bonds among cohort members who bring diverse backgrounds, experiences, and strengths to the program.
