🌍 InnovImpact Incubator Demo Day 2025: A Global Stage for Social Innovation

On July 12, 2025, Purpose in Motion proudly hosted the Demo Day for our first cohort of the InnovImpact Incubator, spotlighting four social entrepreneurial teams. This dynamic, high-energy event brought together early-stage startups, investors, and changemakers from across Latin America, Africa, and North America. Together, we witnessed how technology, when led by purpose, can help solve the most urgent sustainability challenges of our time.

✨ A Night of Insight and Inspiration

The evening began with opening remarks from Jasmine Lau, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Purpose in Motion. Jasmine welcomed participants and shared PIM’s commitment to cultivating the next generation of purpose-driven tech entrepreneurs.

We then transitioned into a fireside chat, where four leading voices in social innovation investing discussed the future of founder-investor partnerships:

Their thoughtful perspectives helped founders and audience members better understand how to build strong, sustainable relationships with investors.

🚀 Spotlight on Innovation: Our Startup Teams

Four incredible startup teams from our InnovImpact Incubator III cohort took the virtual stage to present their ventures:

  • AgroData (Latin America): Using AI and data to support smallholder farmers with improved agricultural insights.
  • EcoCoco (Madagascar): Transforming coconut waste into clean energy and sustainable materials.
  • Freetown Innovation Lab (Sierra Leone): Turning plastic waste into building materials to address housing shortages.
  • Limpiar (United States): Revolutionizing commercial cleaning with eco-tech and upcycling practices.

Each team had 4 minutes to pitch their idea, followed by 2 minutes of live feedback from our esteemed judging panel.

👩‍⚖️ Meet Our Judges

We were honored to be joined by four experts from across the social innovation and sustainability ecosystem:

Their thoughtful commentary provided encouragement and constructive direction for each team, and their scoring will help determine the winner of the Best Pitch Award at our upcoming Award Ceremony.

🗳️ The People’s Choice Award: Congratulations AgroData!

Our global audience had a chance to vote for the startup that most inspired them during Demo Day — and we’re thrilled to announce that the 2025 People’s Choice Award goes to AgroData from Latin America!

AgroData impressed the crowd with their mission to empower smallholder farmers through data and AI, helping boost crop yields and climate resilience in rural communities.

As the People’s Choice winner, AgroData will receive:
